My name is Mendy Huskey.  This will be my 11th year at New Center School in Sevier County. Kindergarten is the most exciting place to teach and I am really glad I have the opportunity to share my enthusiasm with young children.  I have two children of my own, ages 5 and 8. Emma, Ethan and my husband, Ricky are the joys of my life.  I also have six cats and one fish. 

I enjoy using the computer as a teaching tool.  We have three computers in our classroom and we also have a two computer labs at New Center. We visit the computer lab often.

I love to read to my students as well as at home for fun.  I read The Gingerbread Man on the first day of school every year.
