Writing Prompt
This week's writing prompt (12 March - 16 March 2007) is about
leprechauns.
After reading Clever Tom and the Leprechaun by
Linda Shute, the children will review expository writing. Using a
combination of steps and many details, each child will describe
"How to Catch a Leprechaun".
We will also complete theTwisters and Other Terrible Storms research
project. Each child is required to complete a minimum of three
paragraphs. The first two paragraphs are about the storm researched.
The last paragraph is about why they chose to research their particular
storm.
The computer lab has been scheduled for various
times for us to research storms if they haven't completed it. Then, we
will research clouds.
