Weekly Homework

Your child's homework this year will be very important to his or her success.
Teamwork makes all the difference!  Every Monday  your child will bring
home his or her Homework Folder with a page to explain his daily homework
assignments. The folder is returned to school each Friday.

READING:  Reading together about 20 minutes each
day is an  everyday-of-first-grade  responsibility.
His homework file will show the story of the week and suggest pages
to master that night. Your child can always do more. It is also very
helpful to his progress if you regularly read extra stories
and books to him.

OTHER WORK: Occassionally your child may get an extra assignment
to practice math facts or phonics skills he's not fully mastered with
the class.  If he is absent he may also bring home all or part of
the work done in his absence.
