Behavior Policy and Rewards
Behavior Policy:
I expect all students to follow all
classroom and school rules. When rules are broken, there have to
be consequences. However, I will also reward good behavior.
Discipline in our classroom is based on the Character Counts
program. The six pillars of character will be taught and
reinforced. If a student makes a bad choice, there will be
consequences. The first time, I will give them a warning and they
will move their apple to the first level. This will result in
losing five minutes of recess. If it happens again, they will
move their apple to the second level and lose ten minutes of
recess. The third offense will result in an intervention
form. It is very important for all students to follow the rules.
Rewards:
Each
student will color an apple tree each week and this must be signed by
parents to show how many times he or she had to move their apple during
the week. If no apple is moved during the week, each child will
receive a special reward from our class treasure box. I will also
sometimes reward good behavior daily with candy and stickers.
