Reading
    Reading is both individualized and grouped in my class. We use the McGraw-Hill reading series, as well as small books from the Wright Group Company. Students read many different types of materials, many of which they get to choose. Accelerated Reader is used at our school to motivate students to become lifelong readers. They read books and then take tests on the computer.
    Please set a time each night to work with your child. It is essential that your child practice reading each night to maintain steady progress. In order to be promoted students must complete the reading books that are required. These requirements will be explained at length at conferences and parent letters.
