Hi Everyone! My name is Joan Kite. This is my Fourth year teaching at New Center. I teach 5th and 7th grade Science. Before I came became a teacher, I worked for several years as a Registered Nurse. I love Science and History! And I love watching young people's faces glow when they learn something new!
   I have one daughter, Whitney, who is an Education student at Tusculum College. She is married to my wonderful son-in-law Edward, and is the mother of my amazing grandsons, Conner Christian and Ethan Nathaniel.
    I also have one son, David, who is a Sophmore in high school. David is very much into sports, church leadership activities, and hanging out with his friends, as well as having fun with his two little nephews.
    I spend my time away from school hanging out with my friends, children and grandchildren, with my parents who live in Kodak, and working in the Youth department at church. We live at the lake so I have plenty of time to go boating, skiing, hiking, and biking. I also stay busy with my son's sports and music activities.
