Classroom Discipline
Discipline in
the classroom is based on the Character Counts program. The six
pillars of character will be taught and reinforced when the child
follows them. If a student chooses not to follow classroom rules
or the six pillars of character, he or she will be given a
warning. If the student is called down a second time, he or she
will pull their star from the star chart. At this time they will
lose part of their recess. If the student is called down for
a third time he or she will move their star again. At this
time the student will receive an intervention form. A
behavior calendar will be sent home every night to inform you of your
child's behavior for that day. Please sign it and return the form
on the following school day. If your child receives 3 discipline
forms, I will request a conference.
